About

The Greentransport blog is the discussion platform for environmentally and climate friendly transport. Transport is one of the biggest emitters of green house gases and causes many other environmental damages like NOx, SOx, noise, land use and accidents to name just a few.
On the platform it is discussed how transport can contribute its fair share to achieve a low carbon and environmentally sustainable society.
All transport modes road, rail, inland waterways, short sea shipping, ocean going vessels and air transport are covered.
Protection of climate and environment is not only end-of-pipe technolgoy and clean combustion engines, there are many more economic and societal issues that have to come together to deliver a viable development path. Emissions trading is currently of the highest priority on greentransport.eu

Jan Prahm, who is running this blog, is a freelance consultant on green transport.
