Biogas van saves 18 tons of CO2

By Jan Prahm March 9th, 2010

The Austrian transport company cargo-partner is now using biogas for its Fiat Ducato van for its local distribution. The bio gas is produced at a near by agricultural cooperative which uses local agricultural by-products. This is important for the overall environmental soundness of the biogas. Although the van will have to be filled with fossil natural gas occasionally due to the lack of a wider network of bio gas filling stations, the use of biogas will save 18 tons of CO2 per year.
